New research suggests delays in screening mammography during the COVID-19 pandemic may lead to increased deaths.

Over the past couple of years, many women put their annual screening mammograms on hold. Data tells us that about 50% of women who were scheduled missed their appointments. In addition, 25% of women put o evaluation of their breast cancer symptoms, resulting in delayed diagnosis and treatment.
